During my stay in the hospital,
there were moments
that stayed with me.

One day,
the elderly woman in the next bed
had an accident.

“I’m so sorry…
I’m really sorry…”

She kept repeating,
her voice filled with embarrassment.

Then the nurse gently said,

“It’s okay.
Actually, it’s a good thing.

Not being able to go
is what troubles people most.

This is perfectly fine—
it means your body is working.

We just want you to get better.”

And in that moment,
the air in the room
softened.

On another day,
an elderly man nearly collapsed.

He was much bigger than the nurse,
and it clearly took all her strength
to support him.

Yet she smiled and said,

“I used to be in sports clubs,
so I’ve got the strength.”

Even in that difficult moment,
there was a sense of ease—
something gentle
in the air.

It wasn’t just about
doing what needed to be done.

It was about
holding someone’s feelings,
just enough.

Maybe kindness
isn’t always something big.

Maybe it’s just
a few quiet words—

that can soften
an entire space.
