カフェで打ち合わせをしていたときのこと。

近くにいた人たちにかかってしまった。

A cup slipped,
coffee spilled,

everything felt unsettled.

突然の出来事に、
周りが少し慌ただしくなった。

一番かかってしまった人が、

と、こぼしてしまった相手を気遣っていた。

to the person who dropped it.

私は、その様子を見て
素敵な人だなと思った。

I remember watching that moment
and thinking,
what a beautiful way to be.

余裕って、
時間があることでも、
忙しくないことでもなくて、

Maybe space isn’t about
having more time.

どんなときでも、
目の前の人を思いやれることなのかもしれない。

Maybe it isn’t about
living a slower life.

Maybe it’s being able,
even in unexpected moments,
to keep seeing
the person in front of you.
