I don’t think I’ll ever forget that day.

ふと、思った。

すべてが止まってしまったら。
if this moment
were to end just like that—

そのまま終わってしまったら。
What would remain?

What came to mind
wasn’t work.
頭の中に浮かんだのは、

the faces of my children.

the way I worked began to change.

but naturally,
as if what truly mattered
had simply moved closer to the front.
大きな決断をした、というよりも、
ただ、
大切にしたいものが、
自然と前に出てきただけだったのかもしれない。
What quietly changed that day—
あの日、
静かに変わったもの。
is something
that has never changed since.
それはきっと、
これからも、
変わらずに残っていくものなのだと思う。
