There was a time
when I couldn’t quite put it into words—
a quiet kind of heaviness
settling in my chest.
I wasn’t good at stepping forward.
I read the room too much.
I struggled to express what I truly felt.
And somewhere deep down,
I blamed myself for all of it.
You need to be stronger.
You have to stand out more.
I kept pushing myself,
telling myself I wasn’t enough.
Then one day,
someone said something
that gently changed everything.

“You know…
I think you’re like the wind.
You can’t see it,
but on a hot day,
when it brushes past your skin—
you just feel good, right?
It’s always there,
close by,
and deeply needed.
That kind of presence
is beautiful too.”
When I heard those words,
something quietly loosened inside me.
“To be like the wind”—
that phrase has stayed with me.
Even without shape or sound,
the wind can still
gently hold someone.
We don’t have to force ourselves to shine.
If I can simply be there, softly—
like the wind—
that’s enough.
