There are days
when you feel small and out of place—

ふと、自分の存在がちいさく感じられる日がある。

like you’ve lost your shape,
your sense of belonging in this world.
I’ve felt that too.

なにをしていても、
自分の輪郭がぼやけてしまうような日。
この世界に、自分の居場所なんてあるのかな——
そんなふうに思ってしまうことが、私にもあった。

Back in my school days,
the days moved faster than my heart could follow.
Everything felt heavy.
I didn’t know what to hold on to—
only that something inside me hurt.

中高生のころ。
心がついていかないような毎日の中で、
ただ、苦しいと感じていた。

But I was lucky.
I had kind friends,
and little by little, I made it through.

あの頃、いい友人に恵まれ、
なんとか乗り越えることができた。

Looking back now,
I know those quiet struggles
shaped the strength I carry today.

そして今、私は思う。
あの日々の経験が、
たしかに今の自分の強さになっていることを。

And one day, I came across a poem.
“Living” by Shuntaro Tanikawa.
To live.

そんなある日、ある詩に出会った。
谷川俊太郎さんの『生きる』という詩だった。

To be alive, here and now.
To feel thirst.
To be blinded by dappled sunlight.
To suddenly remember a melody.

生きているということ
いま生きているということ
それはのどがかわくということ
木漏れ日がまぶしいということ
ふっと或るメロディを思い出すということ

Each line came like a breath—
soft and steady,
sinking into my chest.

一行一行が、
体に、心に、静かに沁みこんできた。

I realized something then:
living doesn’t have to be something big or grand.

生きるって、
何か大きな意味を
見つけることじゃなくてもいいんだ。

Maybe it’s in the light that touches your cheek,
in the sound of a bird’s wings,
or the moment a song drifts back to you.

ただ、そこにある光や音、
ふとした感覚を味わえること自体が、
“生きている”ということなのかもしれない。

That thought helped me breathe again.

そんなふうに思えたとき、
少しだけ、呼吸がやわらいだ。

I’m sharing this poem here,
not because it holds all the answers,
but because I hope
it might rest gently on someone’s heart—
just as it did on mine.

この詩が、
誰かの「今日」に、そっとやさしく寄り添ってくれたら。
そんな願いをこめて、ここに紹介しました。
