LULU comes racing toward me.

Tail wagging.
Ears standing tall.
Every part of him
seems to say,
"You're home!"

しっぽを振って。
耳をぴんと立てて。
体じゅうで、
「おかえり!」
を伝えてくれる。

Before I know it,
I'm smiling too.
His joy
has a way
of becoming mine.

その姿を見ると、
こちらまで
うれしくなる。

I wonder
if I've ever
known how
to celebrate a moment
quite like that.

私は、
あんなふうに
喜べるだろうか。

Even when my heart is full,
I've always been
a little quiet
about happiness.

うれしくても、
その気持ちを
そのまま表すのは、
昔から少し苦手だった。

LULU is different.

でも、
LULUは違う。

If he's happy,
he runs.
If he's glad to see me,
his tail says it all.

Just joy,
exactly as it is.
