For a while after being taken to the hospital,
I didn’t even have the energy
to look outside.
救急車で運ばれてからしばらくは、
痛みとつらさで、
外を見る余裕なんてなかった。
The pain was overwhelming,
and time itself
felt blurred around the edges.
時間の感覚も曖昧で、
ただ目の前のことに耐えるだけだった。
All I could do
was get through
the moment in front of me.

少しだけ落ち着いたある日、
ふと窓の外に目を向けた。
But one day,
when things had calmed
just a little,
そこには、
思っていたよりずっと広い青空があった。
I happened to look
toward the window.
都心の病院なのに、
こんなに空が見えるんだ、と思った。
And there it was—
a wide blue sky,
far bigger
than I expected.
Even in the middle of the city,
the sky felt open and endless.

Beyond the tall buildings,
it stretched quietly,
bright and calm,
高いビルの向こうに広がる空は、
静かで、明るくて、
何事もなかったみたいに青かった。
as if nothing in the world
had changed at all.
それを見ていたら、
なんだか少し、ほっとした。
Looking at it,
I felt myself breathe
a little more easily.
何かが解決したわけじゃない。
Nothing had been solved.
痛みが消えたわけでもない。
The pain
hadn’t disappeared.
それでも、
ただ空を見ているだけで、
少し呼吸がしやすくなった。
And yet,
just looking at the sky
brought a small sense of relief.
窓の向こうには、
いつもと変わらない空が広がっていた。
Beyond the window,
the sky remained
exactly as it always had been.
でもあの日の私は、
その空に、少し救われていた。
But that day,
somehow,
it saved me a little.
