I recently watched
the Japanese film PERFECT DAYS.

『PERFECT DAYS』

Nothing extraordinary happens.

No dramatic twists.

Just life, exactly as it is.

Morning begins.
Work.

A few pages of a book.

Music.

Sunlight dancing through leaves.

The smallest moments
are given room to breathe.

The days pass quietly.
Unhurried.
Unremarkable.
And somehow,
beautiful.

When the film ended,
its quietness didn’t.

It stayed with me
long after the screen went dark.

Most days,
I’m busy chasing the next thing.

Another task.
Another goal.
Another reason to feel accomplished.

Make life smoother.
Faster.
Fuller.
As if “more” were always the answer.

But this film whispered something else.

Maybe a rich life isn’t built
by adding more.

Morning light.
A gentle breeze.
A slow cup of coffee.
Laughter shared
without looking at the clock.

Perhaps abundance is simply
being fully present
inside an ordinary day.

My life didn’t suddenly change.

But since watching PERFECT DAYS,
I’ve begun to notice the beauty
that was quietly there all along.
