A quiet afternoon. I looked up—
and something in me softened.
The wind brushed gently across my cheek,
clouds drifting by without urgency.
I couldn’t remember
the last time I simply looked up,
doing nothing at all.
Somewhere along the way,
I’d stopped noticing the sky.
The scroll of a screen,
the weight of everyone’s voices—
advice, answers, noise,
pulling me away from my own quiet.
Maybe I’d been pulled
by other people’s “right answers,”
and lost sight of the space inside me.

But today,
the sky was just there.
And I was just… still.
I breathed.
And felt a breeze move through me—
from the outside in.
Maybe this is how
we find ourselves again.
Not in doing,
but in simply being.
The sky was high.
And somehow,
that was enough to save me.
