A high school student
once shared something
that quietly stayed with me.
“I feel like I’ve reached a point
where I create art
in order to give myself purpose.”
Those words
never really left me.
They gently led me to a question
I hadn’t asked myself in a long time.
What kind of life do I hope to live?
When I was younger,
I dreamed of becoming a doctor.
I wanted to ease someone’s suffering.
That wish never disappeared.
It simply found a different place to belong.

Now I think about
children whose pain cannot be seen.
Children who carry their hearts alone.
If I could become someone who helps
even one child feel a little less alone…
that would mean everything.
So I asked myself,
“What can I do today?”
The answer came quietly.
I’ll keep working.
I’ll keep learning.
I’ll keep growing.
Not because work is my purpose,
but because
I want to become someone who can give more.
Work isn’t the destination.
It’s simply one way
of becoming the person I hope I can be.
And somehow,
the work before me felt different.
It wasn’t just work anymore.
It had become part of the road I wanted to walk.
